Backfire with my exhaust?

Hey guys I've had my RA with exhaust for awhile, recently got the ams testpipe. But its still doing it. I think its because I changed my muffler. I have a magnaflow muffler. What can I do to better this or what muffler would you guys recrommend.

I had magnaflow on mine and never had any issues. Have you had it tuned? When does it backfire, what are you doing when it happens? If the rev limit fuel cut and ignition cut aren't set properly in the ECM, it will backfire when you hit the rev limit. Being that if the fuel cut is cut off after the ign cut, fuel still gets shot through the motor with no spark going right out the exhaust, once rpms gets below limit, spark cuts back in igniting all the fuel in the exhaust with a very loud backfire and big flame.

Its from the test pipe and/or hi flow cats. I never backfired when I had the stock cat and AMS cat back on, but with the hi flow cat it pops when I'm hard boost and let go.

All it is, is noises your not use to because you dont have the stock CAT to resinator or stop any of those noises / backfires.

You're catless so there's nothing to catch any unburnt fuel thus it can travel along the exhaust and ignite further downstream.

Mine does the same thing when I let off the gas at high RPM's. I have the Buschur Racing cat-back, which is basically a straight pipe.

Crazy I was just about to make a thread about my ra backfiring. So it could be a couple things... like someone previously said, if your running rich, fuel will make it to exhaust and explode. It could also be a MAF issue or maybe your fuel filter needs a change. That's just a couple troubleshooting points. Let's keep this thread going for a possible fix. It only happens to me in sport high boost and then let off pedal completely.

There's nothing wrong with it, all catless turbo cars will do it occasionally.
