X turbo build

Finally started to get parts in for my x swap, so far I have slowly been taking things apart, makes me sad I won't be able to drive her for awhile but it will be worth it. Anyways, here's just a few pics so far of the deconstruction. I will keep posting new pics as I install and receive parts.

Please tell me you are getting rid of the stock FMIC with the X turbo. The OEM FMIC can't even shed the heat of the stock RA turbo.

Ya I am getting rid of the stock FMIC, i just took it off and it really hit me how tiny that damn thing is. But I am getting the VC powder coated and then I ordered the Cosworth cams as well, have quite a few more things on the way so I am hoping to have a beast when all said and done.

You got someone local? If not give JNZ a call, Paul will take care of you.

Taking the cover off might make it harder to do the turbo swap. Because of tryn not to let stuff falling into the head and getting dirty. Whatever you cover the head with it isnt going to be as nice to work off or lean on as the "Valve Cover" lol. But if you wait till you get the now powered coated cover on, you gotta be safe and cafeful not to scuff and scratch. Trust me, that twin scroll just doesnt fall in their.haha

your spending quite a bit of money right there, jesus. clutch pack, tranny cooler, fmic, cams, and x swap with all necessary parts, why not just upgrade beyond x swap and go like fp green or red. I mean if your spending all that why not throw out the additional cash for a larger turbo?

niice! me like HKS purple!

Evo X turbo size i probably the best for 300/300 at the wheel.. i think larger turbo would spool later.. which makes the RA less of a DD... (just my guess)

Not true, even with the stock based turbos FPGreen, FPRed, BBX they will all spool in the same area, but the difference is the topend doesn't drop off like with a EVO X turbo and you can run more boost. It's the only way to run 400whp and 300ft lbs.
or 450whp and 350torque. We want to be running honda power/torque curves now.
