Milspec high flow cat

Curious if anyone has used one of these? From what I have seen, they sell you just the cat, no pipe or anything and you weld it on the stock pipe. Theyre testing shows that it actually flows higher than any other high flow cat by quite a bit, plus its much cheaper than buying one from UR or Cobb. I plan on running this with a stage 2 cobb map, let me know if you have one on your RA or know someone who does. THANKS

it will end up costing more than the UR cat.

you can not just weld a 3" cat to the 2-1/2" stock pipe.

you would need to buy some 3" s.s. pipe and 3" flanges.........

........that would not be free..........

.......then pay someone to put it all together (unless you d.y.i.)

the UR will bolt right in place of stock one.

The Milspec cat sounds great if you are going to make your own custom exhaust.

I already have a 3in midpipe, so I was planning on going three the whole way. So essentially, all I need to do then is get 3in pipe welded onto midpipe with cat welded in between. As far as the 02 bungs, do you guys know if I can use the stock ones or what?

I am about to buy a UR cat. Good to hear that you guys like it. Did it just bolt onto stock pipes? No modification? I have a custom 3in midpipe, but still has stock gaskets and bolts so it should just bolt on.

I've got a stock downpipe, UR high-flow cat, and UR CBE. The fitment between the high-flow cat and the stock downpipe is a little off (one of the two seemed to be slightly larger in diameter, but do not remember which off the top of my head), but overall no issues.

It does for the most part, but as I mentioned it's not a perfect fit, which would be explained by the difference 07outty listed if that is correct.

...the 3" UR cat does/will bolt right in.

you will just have 2 1/2 pipe "blowing in to" the 3" cat housing.

the best thing to do is install the UR d.p. and the cat at the same time.

with the cat out of the way , it makes installing the d.p. much easier.

I was looking at the UR hfc today and its obviously bigger than downpipe as stated before by your guys. Just wondering, the actual section that bolts on would have to be bigger as well since its 3in, at least it looks bigger. Are all exhaust fittings/openings the same size? Sorry for the naive question but I dont understand how this thing would bolt up to stock dp and not leak. Help
