another maf/bov question

I was reading the new super street issue and there was a guy on there talking about converting a MAF to a MAP and I am under the impression this allows a car to run a VTA BOV without all the issues. Does anyone have any experience with this?

No need to go through all that trouble. Run an open element intake and you'll achieve the VTA noise you desire.

Not only that but I am reading a MAP is more accurate than A MAF especially in FI engines. I read some nissian forums where they removed the MAF and drilled a spot on the upper intercooler pipe to install a MAP but I have no other info than that such as wiring and etc. I am guessing this is not an easy task since there are no replies.
