Well, you were acting skeptical about capabilities of the new CBRD RAD turbo, and yet you said that you were considering their BBX turbo, so my point was that it's the same manufacturer and therefore I think you can feel assured that the new turbo will perform well and can be trusted with the same confidence that you have in their BBX model.

I'm sure he is not sketical about CBRD...
I guess what most ppl care the most is how the smaller turbo size affect the spool/hp etc etc vs a Evo X turbo

I'm sorry to have put anyone off in the slightest, but I think we probably need to recognize that somewhere something was misinterpreted here...

I am not skeptical about the capabilities of CBRD in the least, and I can assure you that I have been strongly considering their RAD turbo mod. While I really do hope I am wrong, frankly I can't imagine how it could possibly provide results anything like their well proven BBX or the FP green which are both modified twin scroll turbos. I would say the probability is extremely high that if the results are anything like what we all are hoping for, I will get a CBRD turbo mod if and when I have enough information to know that it meets my needs.

The only point(s) I actually try to make in my previous post above are that:

(1) For all must of us know the RAD turbo is still a great concept from a well proven and realiable source, that it is not yet known to be proven...

(2) Once enough information is available on the RAD turbo to evaluate the capabilities and it has been proven, I personally feel it is unlikley to match the capabilities of either the BBX or FP green. I hope I am wrong on this point, but I guess we will see...

Frankly some may feel otherwise, but I think my first point is pretty much beyond dispute, at this time. That should change in the very near future and I for one certainly do hope the results are as impressive we expect, and I hope I am wrong on my second point!

OK, I have to get back to work...

Anecdotally, I can tell you that the RAD spools as quickly as the stock RA unit.

our RAD turbo WILL not supply the power output of the EVO X based BBX lite/full or fp products.

It was not designed for that, it was designed to exceed the power of a STOCK evo X turbo conversion on a ralliart- and at a lesser cost

for instance-

you can send in your turbo, have it modified and keep your existing manifold/o2 housing/intake etc... you dont need to buy the manifold, o2 housing, oil/coolant lines, outlet pipe...etc etc.. and still make evo X power... which is what alot of our clients want!

cheers

You can take a look at my thread to get an idea, I have both pump gas and E85 results. Keep in mind I am still running the OEM catback.
