Fpgreen
Fpgreen
Alright so i have been researching alot for the past couple of months for what what to mod on my car. I see alot of ppl running stock evo x turbos and some fpgreen and even a red!!!! Idont need a red so i was deciding between a evo turbo or to get a fp green. I will be buying all the parts from the evox swap list and either the x or the green turbo. Also i will get an ets intake(evox) and intercooler with piping(evox) and a boost controller and a turbo timer. i already have a turboback from ultimate racing and a hks ssqv3 bov whichi will reciculate. My target power is about 340-350 whp. No the only thing that his confusing me is this damn tranny. This is my 2nd trans. First one went bad on my stock RA. Anyways i was wondering a fp green would be safe to run. I heard of Magnus running one and a few other ppl on this forum. Will i run into tranny problems with this turbo? Id appreciate it if the ppl running the green can chime in for some info and let me know how there trans is holding up because im sure your well of 300 wtq with a green and i heard thats the limit our trans can hold. Also do i need anything else for this build? i figuered if im gonna spend about 1000 bux on a new evo x turbo might as well get a fp green since it spools fast as hell too.
I would get a trans cooler upgrade first. Ive also been looking into the green or the BBX lite.
@NFS I would go with the green or the lite for future Upgradeability. once the sst tcu is conquered u could just tune for more power.

My personal RA is producing 400hp+ and I have never ever had a slow down warning or logged super high SST trans heat.
OEM clutches, OEM fluid, OEM cooler.
Bryan, have you played around with the transmission tables at all? I would like to be able to keep my clutches from disengaging when I crank up the boost. That is a problem that the OP is going to run into with that much power, or so I understand it. My transmission seems to be fine for the time being, though.
While I am very much considering the CBRD RAD turbo and am anxious to see just what it will produce once dyno numbers are available, I don't really expect that a FP green turbo and the CBRD RAD turbo will ever be considered as being in the same league. And while I recognize and appreciate what CBRD is (thankfully) contrubuting towards providing mod options for our cars, until we start seeing some impressive dyno results it seems that assuming results will be as impressive as anticipated for the CBRD RAD turbo is at best speculation.
If you are happy with your CBRD turbo that is just great for you, I certainly hope it gives you all you expected. I'm sure many others are very anxious to see some dyno results, and I hope you post them soon and that they meet or exceed your expectations.
But in truth I can't imagine why anyone would suggest someone considering a proven twin scroll turbo like the FP green should "just get the CBRD RAD". IMHO the jury is still out on the CBRD RAD turbo, while the FP green has proven itself many times, such as on the Magnus Ralliart. I think the most reasonable alternative might be the BBX lite, but that is just my opinion.

BBX lite would be what I consider a "premium" upgrade. Honestly, as a DD, the OEM Evo 10 seems good enough for me..
