Cobb AP

So cobb says that they dont have maps for the RA that have the boost pill and drop in filter. Would buying a cobb AP be pointless than in the future? I was thinking of buying it to have so i can change maps quickly and be able to use for custom tunes

Id say so unless u plan on staying stock with a catback or only going to put on a tbe. They might come out with new maps but who knows when.

I've used AP basically from the getgo with the K&N drop-in and had no issues (6 months). BTW, I asked their support and they said it was OK. I love how easy it was to change the maps and also love the anti-theft mode and all the live monitoring they provide. As far as the maps are concerned it looks like the GST maps make the car faster in stock condition. Recently I installed the TurboXS turboback and only been to the track once and had a time of 13.64 @100.41 but had issues w/ hitting the rev-limiter in 1st gear. I hope to go again this weekend to see how it goes.

Remember, the exhaust set up for stage 2 isn't just the catback, its also the midpipe, high flow cat and downpipe all being 3inchs

I think this will be my first purchase for engine related performance. Cobb has a shop in Fountain Valley not far from me so if they want to make more maps I could make my car available.

Just got with the GST tune and boost pill. Then get a custom tune later on once you get more aftermarket parts.

Well i slowly want to put aftermarket parts on and then get a custom tune at the end, instead of doing it after every single part

how can you add aftermarket parts slowly without a tune, and not destroy your engine?

by adding parts that don't change your AFRs. I.E. parts that don't change your MAF sensor housing, and don't change your boost levels beyond the levels that your current ROM was designed for.
