Identifying low Hum.

OK hopefully this is a simple question. While i was driving i started to notice a very very low humming noise. it only happens when i am going 80+ and at that time i am generally about 3100-3400 RPM. It does not make the same hum at lower speeds even when RPMS are almost at redline. The car was in 6th gear, i think in both sport and normal mode (manual)

I was guessing that this is just that the turbo is gulping in huge masses of air and that it is near peak boost. Does my assumption sound correct. Since this is my first turbo car i am not used to all the sounds one makes.

I unfortunately dont have a video. The car is bone stock and there are no unusual vibrations or anything bad happening. Once i let off the gas and hit 80 (<3000RPM) or lower the loud humming stops.

Thank you for any ideas you can give. I am trying to learn all i can. I tried using the search but searching for a hum was less than helpful.
