so i installed my grimspeed 3port. flashed the tune. and the car was a beast. so i took off and wtf. the car lost all power started shaking and sounds as if it was backfiring. i think it was massive knock. i couldnt figure out what had happened. the tune should be good. i'm 99.9% i installed it correctly. unless its different on ralliarts. i just didnt see the blackclip on the solenoid. but. no cel just sort of confused on what could be wrong. anyone have any ideas?

Did you have a custom tune developed for this boost controller and your car/mods? I'm guessing you do know that these 3 port boost controllers absolutley do require a custom tune, right? Mine was installed when my turbo was installed, and I got a Pro Tune for the 3 port to work with my turbo and mods, and my GS 3 Port seems to work pretty well to me.
Just another simple thought, I know this is an item that I can't imagine was overlooked, but when you hooked up the 3 port did you removed the stock vacuum lines and tee from the turbo outlet? I am referring to the stock line containing the OEM boost pill, was the stock boost pill removed? You don't need that boost bill in line with a 3 port.

Why would you do #2 after #1 IF that is what your saying you did. If that is the case, then 99% chance you got the lines wrong when you went back to the stock solenoid.
Or are you saying in #2 that you test drove the car after the initial flash and it seemed fine, then you started to give it the beans and noticed it acting up. If this is the case then you are probably over boosting and hitting boost cut due to lack of tuning for the 3 port.

Number 2. When I got on it it got all crazy. I do have a rune for it as well. I took it off cuz I didn't want to drive the car in that shape. The tuner also said it sounded like boost cut as well. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a secret to install I wasn't aware if. And yes. I replaced All vacuum lines
Please put the sequence of events exactly as they occurred as i dont think anyone has any idea of what you are trying to describe.
You had a 3 port installed and it was cuttign out at wot?
You took it off and didnt get the car re-tuned?
Now the car is backfiring and running bad?

There is a remote chance you are feeling some serious error correction rather than boost cut... just depends but any decent tuner should be able to sort it out in just a few minutes.
If you want to go the DIY route there are a number of threads that go into detail about tuning "PSI boost control" over in the X or 1-9 section.
