Unhappy Engine Knocking

So i have this weird noise coming from my engine. If you are standing outside you cant really hear it. If you pop the hood you can hear it slightly in the intake area. When you sit inside you can really hear the knocking. Also I can feel it a little on the gas pedal. Once I start driving it goes away. It only happens when I idle. Anyone know what this could be? I will post a video if people are still unclear of what im talking about. Thanks!

If the engine were knocking so bad that you could feel it in the gad pedal, it would have blown up about 5 secs before hand. I'm just saying...
Engine knock is a really fast pinging sound (like when you drive up a grade in an old truck and give it gas; but then it doesn't shift and starts going ping-ping-ping-ping, that's AUDIBLE knock). It's kinda like when you pull into the driveway at home on a cold night, you turn the car off and the exhaust system starts cooling down. Sometimes it will making a pinging sound; its kinda like that but much faster tempo. From what I've heard (never experienced it myself), if it gets much worse than that something really expensive breaks

Yeah, I think you've developed some clutch chatter. Probably no biggie

Hmm, I was gonna ask you if the sound goes away when you put the car in gear. Easy way to tell if it's clutch chatter. But it seems the problem has gone away (what cables did you move?).

If the sound comes back, put the car in drive and see if it goes away. If so, it's clutch chatter, which is normal.

Hahah, I love how this same question comes up almost exactly once a month.
