UR Short Ram

I'm sure there has been much talk about this topic, and excuse me if for the repeat, but I have some questions about this upgrade....

I am considering this mod for my RA along with a UR dual exit catback. I know that installing this SRI requires a tune, but can I run without the tune for a time until I am able to get it done, and if so what are the dangers of such.

I am aware of a few stories where guys have run this without tunes and have gone into limp mode, I am assuming for MAF hiccups linked to the excess air coming in and the computer not knowing what to do with it. any other issues to be worried about?

Just wanted to get people's two cents and weigh my options, although I am sure most will say just do it with a tune, just humor me

Yes the ur requires a tune period.

Just do the DIY k&n intake option we have in the DIY thread. Cost half the price of the ur and the intake does not require a tune.

That's what I'm running on.

My fuel trims were WAY OFF with the UR SRI. You basically have to install the intake and then tune it immediately afterwards.

Your mileage will vary. I've tested my fuel trims with the UR Intake and without it. My fuel trims didn't change much between logs.

When I contacted ultimate racing they said that their ralliart was tuned with the Sri intake cause the RA runs rich. That's what they said
