Intake Recommendations

I have a 2012 Ralliart, my first mod i want to do is a intake, any sugestions? Drop in, cold air? which brand? I plan to do the usual, exhaust, Cobb stage one, maybe bigger intercooler. Will those mods dictate which intake i pick?

AEM or either the drop in K&N or cosworth or works. Considering how hot the engine bay gets, I wouldn't want an intake that removes the box.

The stock intake holds up extremely well, and isn't the bottleneck. The turbo would be the bottleneck before the intake is. Unless you plan on getting a bigger turbo, don't get an intake as your first mod. The power gain/money ratio is terrible.

With that said, I would save the 300 you would spend on an intake, and use it toward a full exhaust system, Intercooler and pipes, or a tune.

If you don't care about any of this, go for the AEM. Looks the best IMO, and you can find it for ~250 on amazon or online.

Edit: Just get a drop in filter for the stock intake and use the money you saved for an exhaust or IC setup.

Hey man he's only level 1, ofcourse he doesn't know.

On a serious note.. intercooler/bov and boostpill upgrade. First. Intake was last for me.

Spend $200 on a tactrix cable and boostpill.
Read the GST Basemap thread.
Download the appropriate basemap and reflash your ecu.

This will get you more power per dollar than just about any other mod out there. I wouldn't replace the intake until you are ready to upgrade the turbo.
