Intake question for Cobb AP stage 1

Hello. I've had my Evo for about a month and I just bought a used AP on here and it should be here Monday. I started looking at which map to run and realized there aren't any maps for my intake. Basically, the previous owner installed a 3" intake w/heat shield that goes to a 3" aluminum elbow then has a reducer that goes down to 2.5" to fit the stock MAF housing. I don't have the stock intake, which I read is fine for my mods. Could I run a map for an AEM intake or something and just do a MAF calibration through accesstuner race? We have an AP on my wife's mazdaspeed6 (which was mine before I bought the Evo) and I've been tweaking OTS maps on it for 2 and a half years. So, I've probably done 30 or so of those. Or do you think I would run super lean? Cobb tuning is literally 4 miles away from me, but I don't wanna pay a bunch for them to dial in this intake. Mods are just intake, upper and lower hard IC pipes. Am I better off just getting a stock intake and slapping it on? here are pics:

I don't know about your specific intake, but I ran a Cobb CAI with the OTS Stage 1 map for about two weeks and did not have any problems. Then I finished the exhaust and went to stage 2.

I should have noted that you do need to watch that you don't run too lean, but I think you already know that. I did not have problems on my 2010, but every car is different.
