Logging WOT question and boost tuning
Logging WOT question and boost tuning
Hi,
Doing a few WOT pulls to get a baseline & assist the learning curve. On my first run I hit 7383RPM and start to back off a touch, and just as RPM drops I get massive knock.
Can someone more knowledgable than I point me in the right direction as to why? Also, should I run the WOT up to the rpm limiter? Or just back off a bit earlier
I've included the logs of the 2 WOT's, + the log of the initial drive. Anything else I should be logging? Don't have a wideband yet, prob be around Easter before the funds for that + a few other bits arrive.
My initial goal and 'task to learn' is to up the boost in the initial peak to around (ideally) 24psi. Am I correct in thinking that the drop off would be quicker (steeper)? Just looking at working on that initial 'punch' between 3000 - 5000 rpm
Cheers

I was looking at your load/boost combo and everything seems fine. It might just be a timing issue to correct at those times. Were you in automatic or manual when shifting?
