Ralliart on E85

So I've tried searching around the forums, including other forums and I am unable to get a definite answer.

Theoretically all you have to do is flash a map that runs E85 for the car to run correct? Then you'd swap out fuel lines, pump, etc just for reliability's sake...

This is what I was able to come up with after scavenging tiny bits of info here and there, but can someone clarify?

Thanks!

the norm for going E85 is Fuel pump, add inline fuel filter, 1000cc or bigger injectors, tune. However you can do it with just doing pump, injectors, and a tune. There has been a good amount of people that have gone Corn fed and quite a few threads here on it and whats "readabilities" lol i assume you meant reliability. fuel lines will not need to be swapped out since you car was made after 2000.

Haha didn't even realize my spelling error... But thanks for the info, I was wondering about the fuel lines as well since I've seen sources telling me the same. But now I know what I'm doing this weekend!

Thanks!

Post mods and numbers after the E85 tune. I am curious as well, because E85 pumps are getting more common in the S.E. Wisconsin area.

Changing the fuel sock is a must, but as Billy states there are tuners here in Oz tuning stock RA's to run on e85 without needing to upgrade injectors etc. With the tiny size of our turbo and the expected power (190kw on a stock - boost pill only RA) the fuel pump and injectors are just big enough

Will need a proper map though with updated scaling and fuel maps etc

Might consider it after I swap an X turbo later on. Lots of E85 pumps popping up around here.

I know a bunch of evo x that upgraded all bolt ons, 1000cc injectors and cams and tuned to e85 and they are pulling 400+ whp. So I figured we could do a evo x turbo swap with all the proper bolt ons and injectors and cams we should be good to go and pull some serious power.

I have heard in colder climates like where i'm at, in the winter the ethanol gas ratio can change quite a bit. If my potential new e85 car is a daily driver is an e85 setup impractical/ impossible?

Not sure how true that is, but you could always run dual maps. Always good to have a 93 map in case you aren't able to get e85 for some reason...
