CP-E Exhaust review

So finally started giving in to wants and started ordering some parts for my car and actually putting them on.

Ordered a cat back, dual exit exhaust kit (resonated) because of where I live and passengers. Cost was inline with all other considered kits, shipping was super fast, ordered monday, arrived on thursday. Kit was made very well, everything fit up well, no issues and the welds looked great.

Sound is nice, definitely a lot deeper growl than stock, haven't noticed any droning issues that weren't noticable stock (low rpm on these cars ~2k creates a natural frequency that exhaust can magnify and never hide so you will always have some drone there). Isn't obnoxiously loud, my parents (conservative older people) actually told me it sounded good when I got on it down their street just to get feedback from them.

Overall very pleased, i'll be getting my video camera back from my buddy soon so I can put up some sound clips and i'll also get around to taking some pictures one of these days as well.

Where are you in Illinois? Maybe we can do a comparison of your car vs mine. I am guessing you just have the catback? I have a full tbe so it might be nice for people wondering how the sound differs between catback and turboback.

I'm in central Illinois man, middle of nowhere. If you make a triangle between 80,55, and 39 I'm in the center of it, about 20 minutes from Ottawa and Peru if you are familiar with either of those towns

Ahh cool man, time is hectic now for me to make a trip up anywhere and then we'll have snow on the ground before we know it. If November stays dry one of the later weekends in the month we could try and meet up. I'll be parking my car in december at some point for winter.

Just ordered the cp-e exhaust/black tips, with an map test pipe to boot. Once my car is back up and running I'll post up my opinions too.

..waited 4 months for Black Friday to have this go on sale and then my car dies =(

Not 100% if I'm allowed to link to non-vendors but just google 'cp-e ralliart exhaust'. It's from the cp-e site. I'll have mine on Friday but won't have my car for a month, still in the shop. I'll definitely write up a little something though as it seems like one of the best options. Should be nice with my test pipe/evo turbo swap.

Only down side is I think it tapers to 2.5 inches. I'll just have to get an o2 dump once I have more displacement to help vent that sh*t

The only time the cp-e goes to 2.5 is when it splits at the rear "y" section, so it's going from single 3" to dual 2.5", which is actually a volumetric increase.
