sst fluid change with Ford (WSS-M2C936-A) fluid

I took a dive and changed my sst fluid to the ford powershift fluid (bot431). First impression is that it drives like new again. Did some 3rd and 4th gear pulls and no problems. I will be doing more sst logging and looking out for abnormal symptoms.

I did some sst and 3rd and 4th gear pulls but don't know how to read them. If anyone can help read that would be great.

What miles did you change at. I have never seen SST fluid that clean coming out. Usually it is black or brown as hell lol

Good maintenance takes a machine long ways.

richjh would be your best bet for reviewing those logs. I'd be really interested to see how that fluid goes considering how cheap it is.

Defiantly keep us posted on how this goes longer term. I was researching doing the same thing for a little since I plan on changing my fluid come spring

You have any insider info as to when AMSOIL is going to come out with some kind of SST or DCT fluid? I haven't seen any on the site yet and I haven't heard about it in the magazine. I'm a preferred customer through them but was wondering if maybe you knew something I didn't.

Another option is Ravenol. This is what I used on my last SST Fluid Change.
Blauparts.com has it for $9 per Liter and it's free shipping over $50

How is the Ravenol doing for you ? How long have you been using it now ? How does it compare to the way the stock fluid felt with shifting etc ?

Thanks for the info

Also what is the code and name or the ravenol oil ? I went to their website and they have a couple listed ? Not sure which one is better. I found different weights on the german website when I was searching the fluid. Also why did you choose to go with this fluid vs the Pentosin that a lot of others are using ?

I'm having my SST fluid changed by a local shop. Charging $150 for labor. Is that pretty normal? I know my Mitsub Dealership charges 200$ labor

I felt no difference between stock Diaqueen and Ravenol. I changed it at 40k and It was still gold in color. I could have probably waiting the official 60k but better to be safe then sorry.
