Shift Delay? Turbo Lag? Idk

So this is probably a dumb question, I tried searching this and that led to researching how a turbo works.. but no luck.

So after my tune I have more boost now, and with that I noticed when I'm going WOT from start or from a roll that as soon as I manually shift or the Ralliart shifts up a gear (so the gear catches first) that there is a little delay (like half a second) before the car starts to really go again.

Is this turbo lag or something? I just noticed this difference because the lag was almost non existant before the tune.

Manual mode acts to more hold the gear rather than to make shifts immediate. The ECU and TCU still take into account a ton of factors before actually shifting gears. Engine load, transmission load, boost pressure, etc, etc, etc. But I noticed a similar thing after my mods and flashing the GST basemap.

Better log the clutch slips to see for yourself, my guess that it's slipping during gear change.

it doesn't slip though, it just kinda.. waits a bit. Like for example I'm going WOT to 7k rpm, I shift, the rpms drop to wherever it should, and very slowly goes up (maybe like 250 rpm up) then speeds up to 7k rpm again, then shift, repeat.

I called my tuner up, its the tiny turbo getting rid of the boost and getting ready again since I'm running 22 peak 19 taper

Did you log even and odd clutch slip through tactrix?

I had a similar issue with mine, wasn't as abrupt when shifting between gears, and just felt way too smooth and delayed. Turned out to be slipping Definitely log it to double check!

I've seen a 2013 car do this recently. Do all you guys with this problem have a newer Ralliart?

I'm sure it's your clutches slipping... Have you used the tactrix cable at all, the GST basemaps made a HUGE difference in the transmission and almost eliminated the clutches slipping.
