I need help. I was driving in heavy snow/slush and it pushed my serpentine belt off so I shut my car off right away and got it towed to my house on and started my car for the tow truck driver to get it off the blocks and shut it off and so I replaced my belt and now it won't start. Any suggestions?

 

Start with the battery. Might have drained it. Check that first.

 

I tried boosting it today with another vehicle. It turns over just doesn't want to start. All it does is whine when trying to start.

 

Any codes?

 

and take it to the dealership - there is a recall for the belt/idler pulley.

 

Will they honor it tho cause I'm over 100000kms and only code I'm throwing is my front 02 sensor but that's because I don't have one

 

^Yes. It's a recall. They have to honor it. Even if the car is modded.

 

What do you mean it whines? Does it have compression? Do the cams move? Does it not turn over?
