No problem. No issues, they are still holding up. The only chipping was done by me rotating my tires. Use enough coats of paint and you should be fine.

I'm itching to paint my stockers while my winters are still on...but it's too cold here to do it in the garage. And I don't feel like setting up a clean/vacuum room in the basement of the house.

Can you make it warmer so I can paint my wheels?

^lmao.

I'm sure there's a closed Chrysler plant with a paint booth somewhere around here. I don't know if the local law enforcement will like me using their facilities though!

Nice write up!!

Im doing this to my wheels as soon as it gets warmer out.

Did you just sand the surface (pre-exsisting powder coat) off of it?

From my past experience, the result of painting with dupli-color is pretty decent.
Make sure you apply the clear coat within 30min after the last coat of paint is being applied (the result is MUCH nicer).

As for chipping ... like all DIY, it not durable vs rock chips (usually very small chips here and there, not terrible if ure not doing any "rally" =P.
Also when mounting and unmounting tires, there's 90% chance the paint will come off.
But for 40$ of material, what do u expect, right?

Had the last week off and was super bored so I decided to repaint my stockers for sh*ts and giggles. 1st time I used just the can and it turned out alright, had a few runs cause it is kinda hard to get it even when u got no spray can skills(like myself) 2nd time I used a spray handle on the can and it turned out way better. Much easier to get an even coat and not spray too much and get runs. Only cost $5 or so and would suggest using the spray handle if u don't got "crazy tagging skills"

What is the benefit of using a spray handle? Does it replace the rattle can's nozzle?
