After installing the sri do i really need a tune? or is it just suggested to get more preformance out of my car? If i didnt get a tune what exactly would happen to my car?

I asked the same question to Chris at ams and here's wat he said..."I would not go full throttle at ALL with that intake on the car. You CAN drive it, but i cant gaurantee you that it is a safe thing to do...I would take it off it were my car though .-Chris...so I took mine off until I can get the money for the mail in flash. Hope this helps.

should do more research before buying parts, injens intake would most likely not cause this problem they "tune" their conical intakes more safely.

From what I read in the attached thread:-

If the intake uses the stock maf housing or keeps the stock maf housing diameter a retune is NOT required

If the intake increases the maf housing diameter then a retune is required otherwise the car runs far too lean

Ok, I got the UR SRI installed on my RA09, I went to a tuning shop for an ECUTEK custom reflash and we demonstrated this air intake is realy bad for stock RA09. Air is realy warm with this part.

You must have a custom ECU reflash to add this component on your Ralliart. If not, you risk damaging the engine. INJEN is the way to go, their new cold air intake is amasing. Don`t forget, if you change the mass air flow housing, you need a custom tuning. Do not perform an AMS reflash with other parts than AMS parts!
