Go for it Chris, well worth it in the end. That free space you'll have with the cubby tray where the button used to be will help a lot, even if it only holds your phone or some change, and will look better too.

So are the cupholders, the cubbys in the dash, the glove box, etc. Dirt gets everywhere and anywhere.

I got the idea from you to do this and it took about 2 hours because of those stupid zip tie things. I didn't want to cut them right off because of my luck I would have just cut right through all the wires and totally pooched myself. I put the ASC button on the right side but man were my knuckles cut up bad from being under the dash.
Thanks again,

-Ralliheart

Ha, I'm not the only one that witnessed bloodshed while doing this! Much better though, isn't it?

Great write up. Anyone moves the tcs or hid control buttons to centre console?

I just did this during the weekend and I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one that bled through this process lol.

This may be my first 'mod'! I like the idea of replacing that blank on the right with this switch and replacing the row of three blanks in the middle with a wallet/ipod/cellphone/garage opener/parking card/etc. bin. Cheers.

LOL it would be easier for me to move the AWC to the center since there is a wire there for it already.

I tackled this last night and I have to say im glad I have small hands so I could reach everything. No bleeding for me but there are a few sharp things down there so watch out. Also removing the tape was a PITA I could not believe it... I didnt even re wrap the wires in the center consol I just zaped them back together. for the relocated wire I just taped that back up so it looked clean. for anyone who is thinking about this remember... If you get mad go have a beer and come back or if you don't drink just take a break... its not worth breaking anything. It worked for me.
