Request: Quick Launch for 1/4 Mile

Looking for a good write up on how to do a quick launch for racing. Such as a start for the 1/4 mile

There are a ton of threads on this, please search. Also, each car and set up is different and has to be tweaked.

why reply without an answer. Either help the man or ignore the thread. Me, i just dont know. But you need to find the right RPM so the car doesnt bog down (too low) or doesnt start to wheel hop (too high). You want a little tire spin to save your drivetrain. Most people have a two-step rev limiter around 5400-6000 RPM. Slip the clutch a little and off you go. But im no expert.

Turn off the ASC, put it in sport mode. Hold brake down hard, hold down gas, wait until you see 3,100 rpm's, let off gas, and just sit there. LOL

I'll add to this by saying bring a large fan when tracking your car, unless you live in the Arctic. Found out last night how much you lose on your 1/4 mile when it's 79 degrees and your car isnt cooled down enough. Runs were initially 13.3-13.5's doing what EvoOtto does other than the fact I don't start gassing until both cars are staged.
