Schroth Harness for the Ralliart

Thanks to RRE for the hook-up! These are designed to be direct bolt-on for RA's (and Evo X's).
The kit comes with additional bolts, but here is how I installed mine using stock bolt holes (based on the guidance of Mike W of RRE):
Driver's Seat Belt Bolt (requires a 17mm)

Right Rear Bolt for Driver's Seat (next to center console, requires a 14mm)

Remove the Back Seat (two clips)

Several Bolts to Choose From

Driver's Side Seat-Back (to clear the seat bottom when re-installed; 14mm, the tabs are designed to be "bent" to accommodate tight spaces)

Rear Driver's Side/Center Seat Belt Clips

END RESULT:
DD

READY FOR WORK

Nice! These are perfect for DD cars that want to track them once and a while.

No roll bar + no 5/6th point= not safe for daily or track use.

He uses the regular seat belt for DD and his 4 point for the track.

Also unsafe. A setup like that is only appropriate for autocrossing.

Feel free to contact Schroth and explain to them how they are "not safe" or "not appropriate".
There is 1 thing wrong in the pics above, but it's not

Yes a roll bar is an improvement, but not a requirement (although it is something for the future).

I like this setup, but I believe amby is correct.

How much did it run you if you don't mind me asking? And does RRE have it on their website?

Schroth sells them, they obviously want to make money. The ASM technology is good on Schroths but a harness without roll over protection is pretty unsafe.

I thought most open track days only require a helmet. I guess If your doing more then that a roll cage is needed.

Yes. A lot of instructors at those track days will actually tell you that your stock 3 point is safer than a 4 point harness. This is legal, but slightly dangerous too.

Pretty much, a safety system is a system, change one component and everything else needs to be re-examined.

If what you say is true, then every Schroth harness owner the world over needs to start a class action lawsuit. There instructions specifically state to install this way (with the exception of the tunnel side of lap band, pending correction), and if the

then we surely need to start litigating.

Okay it's not getting through clearly. It is perfectly LEGAL to do certain events and daily driving with it that way, HOWEVER, that does not automatically make it perfectly safe.

And there is my issue with the choice of words. Sure, it may not be "optimal" but it is perfectly safe.
