Agreed! Gonna black out the window trim this week and hopefully tint later this month. Wheels and a drop will come in the next few months...

I'm debating between black or bronze (gold) wheels. I think the bronze would look pretty sweet...I threw something together:

Thoughts?

Did you sand or prep the trim's surface before spraying? I just did about 40 tools at my work (had to color code the new tool set for my department it sucked) and I noticed a huge handling difference when I roughed up some of the surface before painting... So far every 1/5 that I didn't prep started to chip/peel away (since its just a rubber coating) whereas the prepped ones are still holding strong. Also when this stuff chips, don't peel it.. it litterally peels like rubber cement glue and you'll wind up with a bigger hole than before... I think a flatblack paint might have been a better choice IMO but the plastidip is definitely a creative idea. I wouldn't mind doing my shift knob in that stuff someday.

After I took the ring off, I just cleaned it really well (I used windex and water), taking care not to get oil from my fingers on the surface. After that, I did 4 coats, 30 minutes apart, then let it dry 4 hours before reassembling it.

I guess my thinking is that it's on the front of the car and it's GOING to get chipped, so I want to be able to easily pull it off if I need to respray it at some point.
