Did you have to sand the chrome first?

no need for sanding. the reason that Plasti-dip is so good, is cuz if u need to redo it or go back to stock, all you need to do is peel it off.

I have been spraying and lightly washing it with a sponge for 2 years without any issues. If you have some rock chips in the plasti-dip, rubbing it with a sponge may make it start to peel up. It does get a little softer when it's wet.

Sprayed my chrome ring and window trim the first time in June-2009. Removed and resprayed in March-2010. Haven't had to touch it up since.

They've seen a LOT of abuse. Automatic car washes, hand washing, careful claybaring around, and general DD abuse.
