hard to tell the difference haha. the springs may perform better than the stockers..thats what i hate about most springs available for the RA and lancers. you cant really notice the drop unless you get the teins

The car will get a bit lower as they break in too, and the drop is still pretty noticable. I like your RA! keep up the good work!!!!

should black out the chrome window trim now since you got the front ring blacked out already.

i think you misunderstand the way springs work. who told you that springs settle out much lower than advertised? when you first put your springs on they sit slightly higher than the advertised 1.5 drop it says. and when they settle, which takes no longer than a couple hundred miles. then it sits at the drop advertised. if your springs sit much lower than advertised i would return them asap because you have a serious problem.

as for the car, a little high for my tastes would have went with Teins

how did you figure that?

also since the Ralliart community seems about as gullable as the lancer community maybe some of you should check this post before you think you found the right springs

My opinion is that the RRM springs are too low in the front and too soft in the rear. The car feels like its on a pogo stick sometimes while driving. When we initially installed the springs, the bump stops were COMPRESSED between the top of the strut and the top hat. What this means is you have NO TRAVEL at static ride height. So when you turn the steering wheel, the noise you are hearing is the rubber squeaking as it tries to turn in that compressed state. We trimmed some of the bump stop out, and the problem went away. The rear spring rate seems to be too soft because when I go over a speed bump at low speed, the car just bounces off the bump stops. Its like there is no spring at all.

What worried me is when we called RRM and asked if they suggested cutting the bump stops. They said they never had to do that and actually questioned if we put the springs in correctly??!! I lost confidence in the springs right then and there. They may very well be a great company, but for the springs, I havent been happy.

After looking at the pics in this thread of the Eibach kit, they have shortened bump stops and a higher static ride height, so I think the ride/handling of these will be better. Plus they include new dust boots which is important. I guess we will see what happens. Anyone want to buy some lightly used springs?
