Did a very clean HID install yesterday. I got 8000K slim kit from https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...t-members.html. Ordered them very late on Thursday and got them Tuesday morning.
I like to try and do quality, OEM looking mods, so that is why I took the long approach to this one.
I started by removing the front bumper: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...lustrated.html
Front bumper removal is missing pictures.
Then I removed the headlights. Very easy just 4 screws, 1 on each side and 2 on top.

I will be placing the ballast in the stock location.

I sanded down the little nub in the middle so the ballast would sit flush.

Then I fabricated a aluminum strip to hold them in place.I had some laying around from an other project. I also used the supplied double sided tape. Just me playing it safe.

I cut mine brackets a little short, but still long enough to be held on by the other bolt. I think I used 1" or 3/4" M6 bolts that were just sitting around.

I used a strip of double sided tape to hold on the HID module.

This is the best location to place the module for clearance purposes.

Made all the cables all neat and tidy.

Clearance pic of windshield wash reservoir.

And a pic of the cables from inside the engine bay.

Did all the connections and works great.
Also a big thanks to JRox, and his DRL delete (Easy install, Oem out of sight look and Zero flickering). Well worth the money. Here is the Ebay link since I cant get the EvoM one to work for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...#ht_2207wt_958

I have also started to to produce a few exhaust covers. I will be working on different designs to get a more flush look. My mold is set up for my current design so they will be based somewhat on it. I will only be making a few due to supplies. Pics ain't the greatest, sorry!

Hey GC, I just painted my gas tank cover matte black and it looks great. I didnt use plastidip like you did, but it looks hot nonetheless. Thanks for the idea! Your car is coming along nicely!
