RalliArt Racing Stripes

I was thinking of getting some vinyl stripes to showoff the ralliart pride for my GG RA. What do you guys think?

Some ideas:

PS: Does anyone know where the best place to get vinyl is?

The fender one isnt bad since its a design thats been done previously

As for vinyl, just go to a local sign shop and ask to buy some small scraps. Make sure it has a decent outdoor lifespan (3-4 years min)

There is a BMW stripe as well that I couldn't find a good pic of. Pretty sure its an M thing.

Slightly different

Putting the two lines together like that makes it look like a rainbow or that you have pride in something you probably dont. hint. I think if you kept the logo true to form with the smaller lines incorporated into the symbol it would look a lot better. What about putting something on the side of the spoiler that faces out? Something like this, but with your logo. If you used black and grey instead of the classic colors that could look good on your GG.

I like that dealership promo one up there! That's pretty sharp looking.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I wasn't 100% sold on the idea myself, just thought I'd mock it up to see what everyone thinks. It's clearly not the way to go, lol.

By the way.. I'm new to the forum (just bought my RA, last car was a '05 GLI) and I just wanted to mention how awesome everyone is. Despite posting something that's unpopular, I still got useful feedback and constructive criticism which is what everyone looks for when making these types of posts. It's a welcome change from the VW guys.

I got the RA after giving back my MKV GTI lease and yes Vortex is a tough crowd. However, im hoping that your statement of "its clearly not the way to go" is not based on statements made by anyone here. Its your car, if you like it then go for it. Honestly your mock ups got me thinking about a couple ideas that are similar. Plus with some of the cookie cutter cars on here, a lot of people don't have any room to talk about what other people should do to their cars.

I don't mind the RalliArt carbon fiber vinyl on the side of the spoiler. It was subtle and clean in a way that made it seem as though it was meant to be there from the dealer.
