no not a race, we are making different products. Plus you are learning so we can get the next 2 projects done. Plus i'm stuck also, I have to spend some money on getting some exhaust covers done and the nose ring.

Here is a small update.
Will be priming and filling the pin holes soon. Still have to finish the rest of the bezel. Then I will work on the final figment. Unfortunately I have to cut out the foglight bracket to fit it in.

My IPod to show opening size.

By gccruz at 2011-02-23
I think this shows just how big the opening is.

By gccruz at 2011-02-23
Compared to stock bezel sizing.

By gccruz at 2011-02-23
Shows the sizing in inches. Depth may change in final version.

when you say "cut out the fog light bracket", are you referring to that housing that's part of the bumper?

I was hoping that we could avoid that, but with how intrusive it is and how big this duct is, I'm not really surprised

You won't have to remove the whole bracket. The bracket half furthest out will remain. I still think you could revert back to It if you wanted to. You may just need to reinforce it with a L bracket, zip tie or something of the sort. When I get to that point, I will look into it.

The duct can be trimmed as short as u need. I will be trimming it about 1/2-3/4" before I mold it

Here are a few pics to show what needs to be removed.

So I bit the bullet and cut out the bracket today.

By gccruz at 2011-03-03
Then I chopped up some of my old dry-cleaning hangers to shape a guide of the opening to start fitment.

By gccruz at 2011-03-03

By gccruz at 2011-03-03
Also made the side of the opening.

By gccruz at 2011-03-03
For fitment I had to trim a few bits. I will be adding a bracket to the top left corner for an attachment point.
