tryin to finish a few other projects and orders. I haven't had any luck finding the tree that my FG materials grow on, so I gots to make money to continue the project. Plus it's mostly detail work which will take a bit of time.

Very interested to see how this turns out. If the quality of this is as good as your other parts it's going to be well worth while.

Good work...as always GCCRUZ! I have thought about something like this, but just using 3m Dinoc over the chrome. The hard part with that is the somewhat unusual shape of the ring, all the bends and curves, etc. But, I think this is going to look great when you finish it. Are you planning on doing a matte type cf finish, dry carbon type look without the huge price tag? Or are you going for a gloss?

Matte black would be the best option, and CF for those who want to accent other pieces.

The ring was to complex to effectively pop a mold. I have carbon fiber fabric (the real stuff) to laminate it with. This will give the best results. Have to wait for a few more items and a bit of cash to complete it(plus warmer weather). This crap is EXPENSIVE to work with!!
