Does it have to be the JDM front beam? There's no similar part in mitsubishiparts.net?

You can use the USDM X crash beam, too. I just mentioned the JDM beam as being a lighter-weight piece, not necessarily because it is the only option. I believe they are right around the same price either way, though, so why not get the JDM if possible.

Because it's an OEM Mitsubishi part, it can be special ordered from your dealership. The actualy price may be slightly more through the dealership, but there should be NO SHIPPING charged, at all, since it will just arrive on their normal stock order in approx 2-3 weeks. There's a part number floating around here somewhere, lemme go track it down...

OK, part number for the JDM front beam is 6400B095. This can be ordered directly through your local Mitsubishi dealership with this part number. They will not need a vin or any other information to order.

Also, mitsubishiparts dot net is currently selling these for about $275 (which is, I think, nearly the same as the USDM version), shipped, through their website. That may be a more cost effective alternative for those with dealerships who like to jack up parts prices or claim to be ignorant to the possibility of special-ordering parts like this.

If I can get enough interest. I will produce both. But I still need more interest.

Thanks for the part number Kyle.

if you lop off that HUGE plastic bit where the mounts i'll be interested... It's not that I don't want the on the front of my car. It's more because that huge chunk of plastic where the mounts is one of the spoilers of the car's looks, IMO.

Kinda like what RRM has?

Not my style personally, but I probably wouldn't be interested in either variation, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Not necessarily like that, though, that would be ok too imo.

I think if the triangle that the mounts to was just big enough for the it would be ok. But it's massive, and imo ugly. Focus on the grill area above the bumper in the following pics...

I like this:

not this:
