looks like the clamp on the elbow side is on the wrong side of the rolled lip...
I'd even go as far as saying it looks like you've tightened the smaller clamp BETWEEN the two pipes completely missing the elbow, based on the looks of it. I could be completely wrong, but that's the way it looks from the pics.

the coupler is actually to long.
here is a pic of how is actually is.
I got flack for it on Facebook to lol :P
the lip is about 2 inches back from the end of the pipe. the is is NOT at the end of the pipe.
So the clamp is actually on the pipe itself

what we're saying is that smaller clamp belongs on the other side of that lip...
With the clamp on the side of the lip that you have it on, the only thing preventing the coupler from blowing off the pipe under high pressure is the tightness of the clamp. With the clamp on the side of the lip that you have it high boost pushes the clamp away from the lip further increasing the chance of blowing the coupler off the elbow.
The lip is there allow you to tighten the clamp enough to get a seal without crimping through the silicon coupler. With the clamp on the correct side of the lip, the boost pressure will push the clamp against the lip there-by making the seal tighter.

Really? check your stock UICP see what side of the lip the clamp is on. bet ya a million $ is is on the same side as I have it!! I should know I did it yesterday and the stock pipe does NOT overlap the lip. the lip is 2" in from the end of the pipe. so it s impossible to clamp it on the other side unless you have an extra long coupler
The clamp IS on the pipe as you can see in the last pic that explains how it is.
The stock pipe had more chance to blow off under boost.
Once again the clamp is NOT in between the 2 pipes.

is that the EVO X inter cooler Elbow?
I bet it is.
mine is the RA smaller Inter cooler Elbow witch is smaller then the Evo X THUS I needed to get the reducer THUS the reducer is longer and overlaps the lip witch is 2' in from the end of the pipe!
This pic you posted does not represent that it actually is on my RA
Oh and btw the lip on the stock pipe was NOT overlapped with the stock pipe. the pipe stopped in front of the lip

You may well be on the pipe, but that does not change which side of the lip that the band clamp should go on, nor does having to use a reducer.
Also, that is neither the EvoX elbow or the RA elbow in my pic. It's a UR elbow and hot pipe. I do have both OEM EvoX and RA UICP pipes, and the the elbows are the same size.
The lip location relative to the end of the pipe does not change which side of the lip the band clamp goes on.
---pause---
I just went back and looked a my stock parts. I completely forgot the stock elbow has 2 rolled lips. One at the end to prevent the couplers from blowing off like I was referring to, and one as a "stopper" of sorts for the stock couplers.
So, as long as you're between the two with the clamp, alls good.

That is what i was trying to say :P
The reducer is longer on the small side so it overlaps the "stopper" as you call it. BUT the clamp is on the pipe and is on there tight. test drove it and I can feel quicker boost and no leaks
