In addition, the rebuild kit consists of new O rings and stainless steel pump plate, that sits between the two halves of the pump.
This "box" can also be used to bleed the system... This is developed for E8 and E9 but should work on E10..

If there are any vendors that would like to offer pump rebuild service, get in touch via PM..
Very cool!

for some reason this never worked properly for me.. and I have a couple of cables.. For the record, I really like the evoscan SW and cables that hamish produces... I am a repeated customer..

On the other hand, I made the electric box because I wanted to run the pump and valves outside of the car..

as for bleeding..
For USDM cars it is relatively simple, just press on the accelerator and turn the ignition on.. the pump will pump the ACD.... that is enough to bleed the system...

But on the X and EU/JDM cars it is more complicted because we have AYC diff too. . More hoses to bleed..

i've got EUDM car myself, in fact, i'm not that far from you
one of my locals have tried a newer 2.9 version on a eudm car, worked for him, i just haven't got a chance to look at it myself.

moreover, tephra made a tool for Xs and openport, you can check with him, it costs like 25 bucks but it also works from what i've seen.

of course all this is not to tell that a "manual" bleeder unit is useless.

however, if anyone wants new motor bearing and seal... that can be arranged..

ha, I was just making the how to video, wen I stumbled onto a pump with a coroded motor bearing... while taking it out I managed to mess up the seal...

so, now the kit will come with a new bearing and seal...

About the seal.. it is a non standard size.. I think we will make a custom one locally, as I can't find local distributors for NOK, nor is it in any of their catalogues..

After reading these 15 pages, I have come to the following conclusions:

- A bad ACD pump will not hurt the car. You can still drive with the 3 ACD lights on.
- If it is not a track car, you won't notice any difference and will still be AWD.
- Nobody rebuilds them in the US yet.
- Dealer will charge over $2k to replace, or you can buy used for around $300 and DIY.
- Reason for failure is corrosion inside the pump from the elements.

My car has 100k miles and the lights just started coming on. It is my DD so screw it, fail away lol.

Lights just starting coming on a few weeks ago. Started getting more and more frequent, now they're pretty much on all the time.

Jumped pins 1 and 4. Got code 82 from the ACD, and 23 from the ABS. No ABS light when I'm driving though, which is kinda weird. 23 is a wheel speed sensor, hoping I can change that out and it'll fix both. Hopefully.

ok, here is the ACD/AYC pump repair video... it is probably too long but I wanted to go in detail... The tools and kits are available, we have managed to produce the non standard parts that are not available from mitsubishi... like the pump plate and the special oil seal between the pump and the electric motor.

will have the prices by the end of the week...

if anyone wants to make some money on the side by rebuilding the pumps.... as I think things are easier after you do one or two..

there is only one trick that can scare you, and that is the fact that it is really tough for the pump to prime itself after the rebuild... due to strange routing of the inlet hose, sometimes you can't get oil to the pump... (actually happened to me during filming.. so you have to turn the pump around... It seems that after you get some oil inside the gears, then it sucks oil in with no problems..
