I totally understand your frustration though. A vital component like that should not go bad so easily. Mitsubishi sucks.
I have a spare pump and I recently Sold my Evo.. Pm me if you need it and we can work something out.

These are just 2 examples but here are a couple places in th UK that offer acd pump rebuilds:

http://www.hh-ms.com/Evo_acd_pump.htm

http://www.fqperformance.com/shop/pr...45ff62b2464da4

I understand it makes no sense to send ours out there but do any shops offer a similar service here?

sir, if you have one disassembled, can you take measurements of seals and bearing in a hope that we can some day make a repair kit for the pump?

I still have my old one laying around, been meaning to try to find a local shop that wants to try to repair it. I can take it apart and take some measurements if I ever get the time to get around to it, lol.

The commutator on the motor was all black and gummed up so I threw it in the lathe and just used some emery cloth to shine it up, I think once I rework the housing so it can be bolted back up it should work I'll test it tomorrow and see. The pump side of the shaft seems to be working. I hooked up a drill and spun it and it seemed like it was pumping, The seal looked ok actually. Dont know if its enough pressure, but Im quite certain it will run once its back together.

Has anyone one found any place that we can get these bearings and seals. Once I replace the bad bearing and clean everything up and seal this sucker together this thing will be good as new...... If I put it back together it would work, but who knows how long this faulty bearing will hold up.....I just wanna make sure we can get them somewhere before I press it out and ruin the seal.

How did you get the pump housing to seperate? I was unable to get mine apart. I suspect it was seized to those dowels.

Ya mine was the same way I had to put it in the Mill and get it indicated flat cause it's hard to chuck up on it in the vice.... Then I drilled the bolts down all the way through the housing and stopped the drill about a 1/4 inch shy of wear they thread into the back housing then set it back up on those clamps and used a long hole punch to break it free. After I got it separated I grabbed ahold of the 1/4 inch that was sticking out and the bolt threaded right out.

Got it all back together and it's running good now, I think it should work fine. Just have to see if it builds pressure when I go to bleed the system once I get my tranny back.

you can buy a bearing and a seal if you take it apart and find a similar sized one. also, outer o-ring seal looks like it's worth replacement too...

Hi,

I have developed a rebuild kit for the pump, specifically for it's hydraulic part, that also gets corroded and causes a low fluid pressure. I have a box that runs the pump and valves, for testing, and a set of pressure gauges. In addition, the rebuild kit consists of new O rings and stainless steel pump plate, that sits between the two halves of the pump.
This "box" can also be used to bleed the system... This is developed for E8 and E9 but should work on E10..

If there are any vendors that would like to offer pump rebuild service, get in touch via PM..
