I guess I should be concerned then, because I have no rattles at this point.

Mine doesn't, but it only has 380 miles on it, and has never seen WoT.

I've seen many rattle after putting a TBE on and it turned out to be the front bumper cover rattling against the bumper support.

My IX RS has rattles - the driver's door panel has a rattle, and the plastic cover over the dash gauges rattles. also there is a rattle coming from somewhere in the front windshield area..

if you have an interior windshield rattle try this

TSB-05-42A-005 Released March 2005 (titled: Winshield creaking noise while driving)

1 Test drive to verify noise is coming from A pillar area
2 use a soft trim stick to remove the side windshield moulding from the cowl trim - do not remove the cowl trim for this procedure
3 obtain adhesive-backed thin felt material from BSR kit (MR991752) Cut six felt pieces, approx 70 mm x 5 mm
4 Remove the liner from the back of the felt pieces. Affix the felt on the inner clips. Affix one felt piece to each of the three inner clips Repear on the other side.
5 Be sure that the outer moulding clips (four on each side) are securely attached to the body retension stud. IF the clips are not properly attached, noise may result
6 Reinstall the windshield side moulding
7 test drive to verify the noise is eliminated.

Takes .4 hrs to do - I recommend everyone with the creak to it asap - I feel like the car has been born again - I didn't realize how much that creak annoyed m

where abouts exactly was this mate? the factory service manual shows a 'side under cover', 'centre under cover', 'under cover centre bracket', 'front under cover', 'front bumper stay assembly' ...each looks like a candidate for rattling.

where was the one from the TBE's rattling exactly? im just hoping like heck thats the same rattle on my stock one since its from that area!

mine's rattling from around the lower two pulleys, oil pan or thereabouts...

any ideas on how to resolve this anyone?

anyone had this rattle and fixed it or had a dealership fix it???

almost most noticeable from the drive belt auto tensioner area/pulley but who would know!

Help us out!

Noticed similar rattling after a 350 mile trek up to CT (only 2K on the car)...but I can't seem to replicate it--just random but sound seems to emanate from under the dash...or it's being translated through the dash (kind'a a weird way to describe it, I know). Mods on my IX are simple: Jun BL cat back, K&N drop in, and e-flash from Al--none of which I can (or would attribute as the cause).

Anyway, it goes away w/a little RPMs...will keep trying to discover what it is and get back to this thread.
