My 05 has the same thing, I think it's normal and it's not just DSM's. I had the exact same thing on my 02 Trans-Am.

mine was just the front bumper. you can tell if when it's rattling, push down or pull up on the bumper and see if the rattle stops. if it does, just losen a few of the bolts that hold the bumper and push it the direction that stops the rattle and retighten.

My 06 also rattles from the driver side wheel well area. I am having the dealership check it out this weekend, if for no other reason than to document it.

For me rattles come, rattles go. Something new rattles for a bit, then goes away, then a wew arises a few day later. Much more frequent with my TBE though; totally worth it.

he said rattle goes away when he presses in clutch not throwout bearing.it is your inputshaft bearing.bearing is damaged.it will cause your inputshaft to be out of specs.that will start to rub on the inside of your transmission.in time you will start to hear a loud torqe
noise when you engage clutch.not normal.you should hear no noises from transmission onany car. mitsu tells you normal because they wont take out tranny to fix problem. as long as you will listen mitsu will fill your ears with lies.

My car had very loud dash rattle on the driver side next to the window. Strangely enough, it went away after about 300 miles. I can't explain it other than whatever was rubbing is now broke in hehe. I never heard it at idle though, but it is an interesting idle story...

My '05 does it. Started at around 6000 miles. It is annoying, but I don't think there is anything to worry about. I have heard it on several cars, particularly F-bodys.

I brought the Evo in to have the dealer check it out last Saturday and they said that the rattle is normal.

mine has the rattle noise similar as described, at idle and at under idle (gets much worse!!) and then if you increase rpm i think it goes away, but most noticeable when the right hand side is against a wall (as in right hand side if youre sitting IN the car)

its really annoying does ANYONE know how to fix this??

how does one check/tighten the acc idler gear or whatever? how to be sure it's that?
sounds like near belts or basically belt side of engine possibly underneath

sounds loudest in the right hand wheel well, i.e. in AUS we have RHD so its the drivers side.

help!!
