Stationary Rev Limit

hello

i just got yesterday my tactrix cable so i went to my evo 8 usdm and download the stock map then do a copy of the file and change the stationary rev limiter to 5000rpm(i check with 5500 and 5900 too) then i upload it with the new value but the stationary rev limiter didnt work :S i was with the clutch in and the tranny in 1 gear

There is another thing that i need to change ?

thanks

hook up to ecuflash, then pull the map out of your car, change the stationary rev limit and send it bak to the ecu and thats all that needs to be done

what year is your evo?

I'm pretty sure that '03 Evos don't have a stationary rev-limiter. I know that mine does not.

the 03's dont come stock with them, well they do but its set higher than the rev limiter
the 03's can get them if they are flashed for them

But his image showing the 5000 RPM stationary rev-limiter in a stock '03 ECU -- that's clearly not accurate. Stock '03 Evos certainly don't have a 5000 RPM stationary rev-limit.

I have an '03 with ID 94170008 and my "Stationary Rev limit" was set higher than the "Rev limit". I just changed the number to what I wanted, reloaded the MAP and it worked no problems. Mine was set at 5750 rpm.
