BTW - George here (new owner of the Bad Bish) has been taking out customers for demo rides in the car getting used to a 620 whp pump gas Evo. The car runs @ 30 psi all the time in all gears and gets a good trashing just about every day and its been bullet proof, needing nothing expect the clutch repaired when he got the car it was slipping. Other than that nothing has been done to the car at all - nothing. The reason why I mention this is realtive to the coments about the durability of cars kaing this kind of power on pump gas and not lasting for more than a pull in one gear.

I am comming to the Buschur race in two weeks, i am tempted to try and convince George to let me take the Bad Bish instead of my Evo so we can let Trent drive the Bad Bish into the 9's

It has to weigh a good 250 - 300 lbs less than David's car and makes the same power so i predict it will run well into the 9's

Its too bad that George does not have much interest or time to go to the track as the Bad Bish would run some serious times.

Im sure David will break the record soon as the new intake comes in. After that unless David builds someone another Bad Bish i dont see it happening for a very long time. Buschur Power FTW!

Obviously with limited power on pump gas with a relatively small turbo the weight reduction is what makes the Bad bish so BAD

Its about 350 lbs lighter than my race Evo

Light weight parts like the doors and drive shaft etc cost a lot of loot

Never is a long time I appreciate the hell out of the vote of confidence though.

The bottom line is ANYONE with the time, money and driver ability can make it happen and beat the record the car has put down.

For now, my goal is to get the car to run the first 9 second pass on 93. After that I will move onto my next goal with the car.

Yes, if someone puts their GT42r on pump gas it should surely go quicker/faster than the current record.
It seems a little silly to start putting turbo qualifiers on the "pump gas record." Then it becomes the "35R pump gas record." Stock turbo records are one thing, but once you go outside that box then it seems like further qualifying is just inviting an assortment of "records" that basically become meaningless -- "pump gas record on street tires," "pump record gas record with legal safety equipment," "pump gas record on stock ECU," "pump gas record with with stock bottom end," etc.

Just let it be the "pump gas record" and leave it at that. People can comment on powerband, tires, curb weight, etc. if they want to, but if you're going to talk about "records" I think the KISS approach is the best policy. You've got a race car with a huge turbo. Go ahead and use it if you want.

Hey Dave... is the race map you put in the car to make the 10.0X pass good for terrorizing the streets or circuit work? Would you make the race map you use slightly more safe if it went on a customer car or if you took your RS to the circuit?

Regardless... congrats on all the work your doing lately your really making this forum fun to watch for all of us Evo enthusiasts.

e3vo8ltw, let me know when you start running for the record and then I'll discuss your thoughts, until then I'll just leave my statement stand on how I think the record should go. Thanks for your permission to use our race car with the huge turbo though, I appreciate it.....

crcain, the tune in my car was NOT a race tune for 93 octane. Yes, I would drive it every day at that level of power/tune, no problem at all. As I stated in the other thread, I have over 4 degrees less timing than I put in Eric/Tim/Jeff's car.

If you don't want to engage in a discussion, then fine. No need to be offensive about it.
