Headlights uneven. Any way to level one?

My driver's side headlight (HID) is aimed lower than my passenger's side. Is there any way to even them up? Do I need to remove the bumper cover and adjust the headlight? Or is there a way to level them up without taking the bumper cover off? I know the headlight was replaced (previous owner hit a deer) and I'm guessing that's why it is low.

Sorry if this has been covered. I've only had the car for 5 days.

Thanks!

The driver's side light is always lower than the passenger's. It's not actually lower, it has a shield that cuts off the top section. This is so that you can have as much light as possible on the side of the road, but don't blind oncoming drivers.

I dunno. Mine seems low to me. The headlight beams are shaped __/ __/ but the one on the driver's side seems to be quite a bit lower than the passenger side.

I'll try to get a pic tomorrow of the headlights against a wall. They look like this right now:

..............______/
______/

Would anyone take a pic of their headlight beams against a wall for me please?

there's a little adjustment screw in each headlight assembly precisely for that. go look in the service manual for specifics.

Found a thread on here from a google search! Used a #3 phillips screwdriver and I think I've got it. Thanks!

Too bad I had the freaking front bumper cover off earlier tonight!

My driver side headlight is facing a little upward. You can see a bigger gap than the passenger side along the bottom of the housing.

The driver's side is supposed to lower to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. This was covered before in another thread.

So can we adjust the height of our HID headlights? The pdf above seems to indicate yes, but I couldn't figure out how to do it? Has anyone done this?
