Boring sunday turns into an engine swap
Thanks folks,, I did the engine swap, because I had finally accumulated all the parts that I needed. i.e new trans, clutch, header, built block and head.
There was absolutely NOTHING, wrong with the old motor. ( besides the clutch disc, which was an unexpected surprise. There is nothing wrong with ACT, that clutch had about 70k on it.

Glad to hear nothing that you couldn't handle went wrong with the start up. Looking forward to hearing how she drove, and seeing pics of the final product.
Awesome build, great write up as well.

Motor has been alive for approximately 22 minutes as of last night.
There are no More check engine lights, the car is holding an idle as well which definitely makes The kelfords sound well... aggressive to say the least
there is still oil seeping between the fittings at the oil return, and the rear main seal section has a slow leak as well.
The oil change after 15 minute of idle, looked really promising again. The usual debris and crap from the bearings breaking in, with NO large chunks.
oil pressure is about 30 psi at idle
water temps are stable @ 180 odd degrees
vacuum 10 inches
fuel pressure 38 psi
egts -- just a touch under 800 degrees
oil temps----175 degrees
My wideband sensor decided to take a crap, so I have been hunting for one, Come to find out that I can use a 2000 Cadillac catera upstream sensor for my Uego 1000... it is the LSU4 BOSCH OE replacement. I just wanted to put that piece of information in here, just in case someone is searching for it.
more to come as usual

Yesterday, started the car up and took it for a drive around the block, ****ing car was running on 3 cylinders. after some diagnosis from the wizard ( jeremy) a faulty resistor box was the culprit. I have not seen one of these issues in a long time. Basically the # 2 injector was only receiving 1.8 volts versus the 12 volts.
Once the box was swapped out , the car ran beautifully.
Intial impressions of the car :
The transmission that shep built is absolutely staggering, even though I was gently putting the car through the gears.. combine this with the light pedal feel of the Spec Twin disc, the sensation of being one with the car has returned .
I will say this, if you DO not adjust your Master cylinder correctly , the car WILL NOT GO into gear period. So for those of you installing new clutches , twin or single, be sure to bleed your system adequately and adjust the rod for adequate throw.
I am toying with the idea, of running with a tilton Master Cylinder, since the Stock EVo MC , is on the verge of being too small for Hydro Throw out bearing.
Another thing that I am considering , that I have not used in the past is AN ACCUSUMP.
we have some video of it idling , I shall post that up at a later date.

I'm just glad we got it to a point to where you can start breaking in the motor, trans, and clutch. Lets dial in the cruising tune a bit and just start driving like the elderly man you are
Good Morning,
So I have been driving the car around, I have about 130 miles on her now. It sounds, and reacts completely different than the previous set up.
It is one of hardest things for me, to keep my foot out of it. but I am trying my hardest to show some restraint.
Besides the pesky oil leak at the pan, which is minor , here are some pictures with everything completed

P.s the bumper is back on the car . I also took the car to a local car show, where I took Ist place in my class ... WOOOT...I think I am doing something right, when I beat out a 1986 Ferrari Tesstarossa (sp)
and a little video of what the cams sound like at idle

How Does the Hydro throwout bearing work for you? I am looking at getting rid of my HD Exedy Clutch and going to the Quartermaster with Hyro Bearing, is it pretty easy to set up?
