Evoscan Navigator in Evo X? Yes please !!!
If mode 23 isn't enabled, you can find all the info here for mode 23:
Evo X Logging
If your tuner used ECUFlash to tune, more than likely he used Evoscan for logging. So I would think he enabled mode23. Also, can you ask your tuner what vehicle setting he used in Evoscan (more than likely JDM 2009).

Thanx
update: my tuner just confirmed that he used JDM

On the evoscan.org site it says that you choose the GPS software & maps, so couldn't you use the garmin option for better quality navi functioning?
I've had 2 standalone gps systems by tomtom and they both royally sucked and crapped out within months. I'm in it for the evoscan function, but the navi is big boost in appeal... Guess we all should wait a while for it to be developed a bit more? Wish someone in the US would come out with something like this.

Hi Eddie,
Yes this is common phenomina with current GPS device technology, the EvoScan GPS Navigator uses the latest SirfIII GPS technology, on occasion it can take up to 25 minutes for a good satellite lock to take place. I have noticed the best and fastest way to get a gps lock, is to have a clear sky, and to be outside in one spot for approx 5-10minutes. The EvoX features are currently in development, I will keep you updated.

yeah my 5inch GPS can get a signal lock within 60 seconds. My EvoScan unit always takes 4minutes to get a lock, but once EvoScanGPS has a lock, it has perfectly good signal and never looses the satellites.
Here is an image showing a normal GPS with good green signal on the iGo software, and an EvoScanGPS on the right of the picture. EvoScanGPS can find more satellites in the sky although sees a lower signal strength for each satelitte. The 2nd image attached is the signal within EvoScanGPS software after the warmup period of 3-5minutes with EvoScanGPS.(thats assuming your device goes flat and has to start from cold boot, warm boot seems to give me 10seconds GPS lock time on the EvoScanGPS.
yup
its all in the template file, I am trying to log battery as well, do you know the item name? "Battery" did not work
I am not sure if i am allowed 2

Yousef that looks really cool. He said the next version is going to have bargauges with peak hold etc. and also image buttons (arrows) to cycle between gauge template files, so you better start leaving some space for some image buttons (arrow things) on your gauge graphics
