Evo VII GT-A ecu on a Lancer Auto?

would this work?
at first i was thinking of running two ecus (evo viii and stock)
but i guess it was too much of a hassle.

any suggestions? and thnx a lot. =)

That's a hulluva question. I couldn't say with absolute certainty if it would work. Does anyone have an Evo VII FSM or know where one can be downloaded from? It sounds plausible that it would work. You'd have to find out if both transmissions have the same style sensors and what pins they go to on the ECU harness.

Ok, here's what I've found. The auto Lancer and Evo VII GT-A have the same ECU harness connectors. When comparing pinouts between the two I was unable to find any differences, at a quick glance. I'm thinking it's a feasible swap at this point.

so i found this on ebay and saw that the evo 7 has a seperate ecu for the tranny

After you download the FSM and follow the instructions in the FSM thread to extract the FSM to your computer, you will find the ECU pinouts in Volume 1, Group 13Ab, page 36 of the FSM.
