There you go with your anti Ignition campaign again. Do you also know you can start a fire with a match? No gasoline needed...but that's a whole other topic.
I see this argument as being the same about ebay parts vs. name brand stuff... sure the ebay parts can get the job done, the name brand stuff normally just does it more efficiently.
I think it's safe to say that Aaron's build and tune is a bit more than a boyscout campfire. He did a great job with component selection and was careful to spend money in the key areas necessary to meet his goals. Congrats again Aaron.
I like showing all the 2.4 graphs to the STi guys (ok really everyone) at work. This thread being my fav of course

To be 100% perfectly clear in case anyone has missed it the reason I dont have a Sparktech currently is I needed to divert funds to another project and I had to sell it. I will be getting another one shortly.
To make this work (as it is) I had to make some serious sacrifices to get it to be happy. I have the dwell cranked (shortening the life of the coils), the gap is at .018, and plug life is 1500 or so on E85. It might be working right now, but one bad misfire and I could be looking for a new headgasket. I dont recommend anything other than Sparktech for builds over 650whp.

This is his typical outcome on all tunes.......... max power for the setup being used.
