TC-SST Leaking?
Well got the housing replaced today. I looked it over with the service manager and couldn't find a crack any where. I'm wondering if the housing base plate face is not square causing the o-rings to leak by.
The dealer said this is the first one they ever did, and they took their time. Dropped it off at 7:30am and was finished by 3:00pm. hopefully this won't happen again.
There is a TSB out for this problem.

So I called the Dealer and what they had wasn't a TSB. The Tech had printed out the removal and install instructions from the manual and stapled them with his paperwork. The service manager then flipped through the paper work and though that it was directions for a TSB.
So just miscommunication.

Just FYI,
I'm 90% sure that my leak was from the oil filter O-ring being slightly pinched from the assembly line, not the actual housing at all. I say 90% because I need to check again if it really stopped leaking after replacing the filter and cover (with o-ring).

I have a ralliart and @ 12,000 kms while doing my oil change found fluid on the plastic cover. Mitsu had it for. Full day. It was a gasket (housing) I think. I have the paper work at home. Its fixed and all good. They mentioned they needed to top up the fluid. I'm going for an oil change tomorrow and will see if there is more leaking.
Why the sudden influx of transmission leaks?
Over at the 2009+ RA forum, there's a thread where almost everyone who's responded has had a transmission leak that required the transmission to be replaced.
It seems like most of the leaks are around the filter area. Does anyone have any idea why all of a sudden so many are leaking? Or is it because people just started reporting them?

That's what I was thinking but on this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...lership-2.html
a lot of people are having the problems at less than 10k miles. It seems pretty evenly distributed between mileage + age.

I just discovered on my 2010 SE that I have a leak that also appears to be in the area everyone here is describing. I need to do a closer inspection. Only 1633 miles on it.
Bryan, did your leak reappear after replacing the oring?

I thought it was a misunderstanding.
