hello.
I just installed enkei ekm3 gunmetal 18x8J ET40 with stock tyres on my car. I really like the look and feel. It looks more aggressive in reality than in the pictures.

I was going to go to albert originally, but he is pretty far from me. I'm lucky that I have Tony in my area.

The next project is have my tires rotated and get my alignment. I'm thinking -2 camber. That, and I need to remove the unnecessary spacer on my mudflap.

you can do that... my camber specs are above.... its the tires that are FAT....

at 255/40-18 its fatter, wider and taller then the stock setup

gunna assume you had to pull the fenders more then just an average roll?

The difference in OD from stock is within reason: 12 revs per mile. Don't get me wrong: I don't need to adjust the camber in order for them to fit. They fit just fine stock. They would rub if lowered or if the car bottoms out.

I just want to adjust the camber while I'm getting an alignment, rotating the tires, and making sure the toe is 0.

ok quick question for you guys, i want 235/40/18 with 8 inch rim and plan on getting the swift springs, will i need to roll any fenders with this setup? if so then can i get away by switching to 225? also any idea of how much the swift springs lower you?

If you run any tire other than the stock 215 width and you're lowered, it's almost positive that you'll rub the inner fender at some point especially for daily driving. The Swift springs lower the car about an inch. I'd go for it and get them rolled. The fronts will be fine unless you're about two inches lower.

well first off there will be no rear camber adjustment.... you will need to get the white line rear camber kit to do so...

now depend on how you drive and how does your alignment...

imma running... .3 toe in the front and .3 toe in the rear.... if i remember correctly...

something about help me corner better lol... i dont remember... i have a track alignment guy do it for me

chris...

it will depend on you wheel spec! offset is the key....

form the 1st post...

18x8 +40 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 10mm spacer being maxed flushed
Inner Clearance: 7mm LESS Outer Face Position: 19mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height

18x8 +45 will = fronts will be closer to being flushed and rears will need a 10mm spacer to be maxed flushed
Inner Clearance: 12mm LESS Outer Face Position: 14mm MORE
Tires: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
***FIT PERFECT with out SPACER***
Proof

My track wheels

as you can see no rubbing.... no rolling.... but.... it also depend on the wheel makers.... some say there +40 offset but really there are like +38 which its 2 mm differ.... which will make a big differ with wider tires...

so roll it just to be save and not have to deal with noodling a tire

bravo..

+1 on this part "it's almost positive that you'll rub the inner fender at some point especially for daily driving. The Swift springs lower the car about an inch. I'd go for it and get them rolled."

now for ... "The fronts will be fine unless you're about two inches lower"

i am drop about 3.8 inchs in the front... and i still have my stock liner... lol... the front will eat up everything i throw at it... i fits 18x10 +25 no problem with 225/40-18 .. with a drop of 3.8 inches.... ... its the rear that is a *****

so anything lower then 4 inchs then you should start to worry about rubbing and cutting the tire

Ah, thank you for the correction. I assumed that the fronts would need it as well, good to know!
