Tam finished his Evo X test pipe Jig today, and built the first of the test pipes we now offer!! we are excited to bring more products to the table and give people more options locally!

its a T304 Stainless tube, with T304 Stainless flanges and o2 bung. it is Tig welded, and built 100% in house.

the test pipe will be 215 dollars (excluding tax and/or shipping+handling)

we will be adding the resonated test pipe, and the high flow cat very shortly!!

What are you guys using for HFC cores? Any specifics you can give us about the core itself?

we are trying to figure this out still. there are really only i beleieve 3 manufacturers of cats (but lots and lots of people who rebrand them), so there aren't many to choose from. we are trying to avoid the ones we know that fail. problem is, it looks like everyone seems to use the same one

Mil.Spec 100-cell?

My guess is most shops are using the 200-cell Vibrant metal cat.

Is 100-cell going to be enough to pass inspection and not stink? Also, make sure a mechanical CEL fix is also available.

Any HFC is illegal, the main point is to pass a visual inspection. Mechanical rear o2 fixes aren't working the greatest on the 2010+, but the codes are easily disabled with the Accessport or within ECUFlash.

As for the "stink"...my wife drives a catless car

Product feature: Evodynamics Evo X surge tank

This Surge Tank was developed as a lower cost alternative to the only other expensive options out there. It Is designed to maintain fuel pressure when pulling high Left hand Gees on the track, or even on the street in a spirited run. Normally, the design of the stock fuel tank sloshed the fuel away from the sending unit, having your car spit and sputter with a huge loss of power mid corner. With the Surge tank, your engine will be fed directly from this secondary tank which acts like a buffer, giving continous, unterupted fuel flow.

it is constructed from aluminum, Tig welded brackets for the car, and for the pump. we utilized anodized aluminum -AN fittings with braided nylon hose. quick connect fittings for the connection to the high pressure side of the sending unit, and clamps for the return side. all the wiring and hardware is provided as well. Installation instructions are provided. We List the base system for 700, and a number of options to suit your needs.

anodizing - we can anodize the aluminum tank to make it E85 compatible. this option is 50 dollars, hard anodizing is available in black or clear. standard anodizing is available in many more colors (although is less protective from alcohol fuels)
here is a black anodized tank installed:

Fuel Pumps - the kit includes an external walbro 255 fuel pump. we can use a bosch 044 pump if your car is making significant power ( >450whp on e85, or >500 on pump gas). we can also do dual walbros or other high flow pumps. price changes depending on pump and lines used.

we have complete kits on the shelf ready to go!

correct, i beleive most shops use the vibrant 200 cell race cat. reason being is, its not very expensive. i've talked to eric at milspec about his, its significantly more expensive, but should flow better then the vibrant. admittedly, i'm less concerned with flow through the cat then i am with the cat breaking down and clogging the pipe (i've seen several perrin HFC break down and clog, i've seen a buschur HFC break down (i beleive both use the vibrant cats). if your interested in max flow, a test pipe or a resonated test pipe is more ideal.
