I think if you can work around the MAF (Either a blowthrough setup or speed density conversion) you can easily make 500whp+ on the UTEC.. But you really have to look at what you intend to do..

Hey Jack can you please go more indepth about what you mean? Now I understand the part about overcoming the MAF. I know that it is a real big thing and I have been doing research about how to get around it. I am asking what do you mean when you say "look at what I intend to do?" I assume I need to go deeper into my plans then I did? Really my main intention is to be able to run a 500-600WHP Daily Driver. Something that I can drive in every day with little to no problems, of course primarily tuned for the street. Something with a turbo that would give me the desired HP, but spool quick enough for street runs. However, I would of course also have a tuning map specifically for track runs. Also as I said I have no problem with tuning. I know how to do it some and am very willing to learn to do it a lot better. I just would like to not have to retune my car once every 2 weeks, which I hear is a big problem with the EMS setup. Now is this something that is over exaggerated(sp) or is it true? Also I want to be able to completely tune the vehicle on my own. I dont want to have to get my car tuned by professionals as I hear you pretty much have to do with the EMS. Now is this something else that is over exagerrated(sp)? Or is that true as well? Thanks a lot I appreciate it.

Sorry but it really is a better choice.
And yes Jack is right you need someone who knows what they are doing to tune it. If you do then it is untouchable.
