Well all I did for 116 octane was take my 93 pumpgas ign map and add 4* from the 4psi row up. I did the fine tuning from making passes and logging knock volts #1. Taking my map and removing 5* would be worse than your existing 93 map most likely.
if you want to look at my cal files...go to the AEM EMS board and look for my threads in the Evo8 section. I have a few cals for pump and 116 posted.

you guys do realize this thread is posted in the AEM EMS section of this forum. I assumed that pretty much most of the people on this section have the EMS, or are considering it and gathering information.
Maybe im wrong...whatever, it's not worth arguing over.
notice that I put up a thread in the drag racing forum that's basicly the same except it's titled "12.0 @ 113 basic mods + EMS".

Good points, but don't stress over it, some people just love to argue. Think it is bad over here, try the SVT Forum, I didn't last a week, I was in so many damn arguments, and in the SRT Forum, I was banned for life after just one hour and all I did was just post one thread. So Evolutionm.net isn't so bad.Anyways I've been sold on the AEM EMS, when I get my EVO one day, I plan to buy that before I get a turbo upgrade. Yet the AEM EMS is expensive, and I wonder how it compares to other somewhat less expensive stand alone systems? Or is the difference not so great?

I guess what I am getting at is that 116 is not basic. Regular pump gas is what I call basic. I am sorry . I am just more impressed with cars that run 11's with catalytic converters, street tires, and gas you can buy at your local Sunoco or Mobile, etc
You can get unleaded 100 or 104 at many Sunoco stations

Is the cal file from http://diamondstarmotorsport.com/AEM/ your pump gas tune that you adjusted by 4 deg when switching to 116 octane?
Thanks,
Keith
Edit: Tried to open up that file.... my AEM software just opens up the last cal file I had open when I try to open up your file, for a moment there I thought you stole my tune somehow
Can you do a screen shot of your timing map and send it out to me or post it here? Thanks!
