I believe it was Tuningconcepts.com who went there .Bullish racing also has gone to the ME several times, including tuning a street Supra with a Y2K turbo. I would be much more eager to go to the UAE than Saudia Arabia.

I think busted solutions went somewhere in the middle east to tune an EVO w/AEM EMS... I wonder what happened to that car

The car that Boosted Solutions tuned was blown up by the guy that went there and tuned it. He said he was sorry and left the guy screwed from what I was told by the owner of the car that blew up.

Well, I'm not at all surprised I'm sure glad that episode is behind me now.... Good thing to remember though.... It's not appropriate to blame the customers when some incompetent tuner screws up their car.... I still remember having to defend myself from the attacks of George's fanboys... I wonder where they are all now

The guy you are speaking of was from Bahrain right? If so he called here and wanted to fly me there, I wasn't up for suicide bombers and such so I declined

I'm not sure of any details, but I do remember Busted Solutions being involved in tuning an EVO in the Middle East. I guess they sold them a whole boatload of parts including the AEM EMS. I guess they did the "tuning" on that car as well........

Hey,

The AEM requires a lot of retuning, and my car will not start half of the time. It is ridiculous. I won't buy one again. Life is too short.

I don't want to have to continually retune the car, or take multiple trips to get it tuned, the weather fluctuates so much here.
My AEM has been a pain also. It is now not starting and sitting in my driveway.

Rather than blaiming the box, why don't you hire a competant tuner to take of that for you. The computer is no different than any other computer.....it does exactly what you tell it to. There are several highly competant tuners that frequent this board that can help you.

Jason.

I am on my second tuner. I live in the southeast part of Virginia. I will go to any competent tuner if I can find one. Any help?

Thanks,

AR Fabrication, BLKMGK does alot of tuning in that area. You could hire Mark from Turbotrix, Sean or John From Torque Freaks, Job From Turbo People is also in that area quite often. T-Trix and Turbo People are also within driving distance for you. If you need phone numbers, let me know, and I can PM you the info.

I was the second guy that tuned metaphysicals car. It came here with a blown engine. The car ran well when it left but as he says he has some cold start issues now. Given another chance to look at the car he'd have no problems.

Jason is right, the box is only as good as the guy tuning it. Nothing wrong with the EMS just a bunch of guys that don't know what they are doing messing with it.

We had our car at the Car and Driver Super Four challenge this weekend and the editors that drove the car were all impressed when I told them the car had a complete stand alone on it. They assumed it was a factory ECU. Comments were it was more driveable than stock. No starting issues with the car.

Thanks for the response Dave! Ofcourse Bushcur Racing is also an excellent choice if your willing to drive! Glad to hear the car did well Dave! BTW nice Job on Johns new engine! Expect to see that car in the low 8's VERY soon! I know he is really happy with the engine, with an 8.66 on a 1.48 60' (VERY conservative tune!) it's right there with some launch tuning!
